Free to good home
« on: August 25, 2006, 07:45:37 PM »
Around 15 months old, never been worked.  Not totally sure of breeding, I'm told father goes real well, no idea about mother.  I think he'll turn into a pretty fair hound but in my opinion is the type of dog that needs to be a pet as well as a working dog and that doesn't happen in my yard (have 4 daughters & a wife that get very soft about pets & I don't need the hassles of an injured or dead pet).  Main reason I'm letting him go is I'm keeping a bitch out of my latest Darian litter and I'll need his kennel/run.  I don't want anything thats not a Darian or Darian forebear here as I need maximum space for the linebreeding of them

No Bob, if I wasn't so keen on my own breed I'd have given him a go.  Different style of dog to what I'm used to or want, prefer them more laid back, but I think he'd most likely make a fair hound

No better pics at the moment Julian.  Gives the odd bark (let me out type thing) through the day because hes penned all day while I'm at work & he can see the whippet wandering around or he hears my voice.  No worries overnight or when hes loose in the exercise yard.  Hes the sort of dog that needs more time running loose than I can give him.  My guess is he'd probably improve dramatically once hes had a bit of work.  Not that far away, come have a look if you're interested
