Hunting pigs, particularly with dogs, poses some risks. There is the obvious risk of injury to hunters and dogs. But there is another series of risks that fall under the heading of Biosecurity and Disease. This section of the APDHA website is designed to help educate hunters on these risks and how to manage them. Some affect the hunter and their dogs, some affect the landholder and the environment and some pose an economic threat. Hunters need to be aware of the risks and think about the way they operate so they can be part of the Biosecurity and Disease solution.
